Diatom filter

Does anyone know if this will filter out silicates or silicic acid from the water of the main tank?

If not, what type of compound can be used to filter these out of the water?

Aqua Connect Silicarbon ? Heard it is supposed to work well but haven't tried it yet myself

I BELIEVE Proline carries it so most places in the LM should be able to get it .
