Green Brittle Star
Thought I would post a couple of pics of our 14-16 inch star. This star has been well trained by our Hippo. When the Hippo was very small the star would run his legs over the Hippo. The Hippo will now grab one of the stars legs and swim as fast as possible to the other end of the tank and drop the star.
The Hippo is about a year old and the star is over 2 yrs. The star is target fed krill or shrimp at least every other day and sometimes daily. http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...DSC_0101_1.jpg http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...SC_0042041.jpg http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...SC_0028027.jpg http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...SC_0027026.jpg http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...SC_0041040.jpg Scott |

Jason...this camera is a lot smarter than I am. I have shot about 1k pics just trying to get comfortable with it.
justinl....he has been concerning me a bit. The bigger he/she gets the more we feed it. The more we feed it the bigger he gets...cant win that one. I think as long as they are well feed they can be okay with their tank mates. I had a neon damsel that was a whole meaner. In a couple of months it will be just him and the lobster ...all the fish will go to the new tank. Scott |
