Acrylic

How are you do it yourself guys and gals cutting small and large pieces of acrylic?

saw

Table saw to cut big pieces
sliding compound to cut medium and small pieces
Router to trim down to the exact size and smooth out the edges.
for saw blades, I use 60-80 teeth triple chip grind blades.

TIP: if using thin-kerf blade, support the blade with blade stiffeners http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.a...080,41165&ap=1

I haave a special blade for acrylic for my table say. makes a 60 tooth tripple chip blade look like a hand saw  but it is costly. I got it as the quality of the cut is good enough to go strait to glue up with out any other prep. I have jigs for cutting tube on the table saw also. other than that I use a file, a scraper and a router.
