Extra Chemi clean anyone?

Hi there, fairly new to this, and seems from what I have read that I have some cyano happening. Does anyone know where I can get some of this stuff, I read an old post saying Wai's maybe???

On a side note, have to say this board has been a great help, lots of great info/advice!

Cheers,

Jason

Welcome to Canreef, I have seen it at Wai's and Golds. Pretty sure it's cheaper at Golds though. I would try to wait it out first before using chemi clean. Reduce feeding and light period for a while and see if it goes away. I had a bad cyano outbreak and it was starting to cover my zoos and other corals. I used chemi clean and a couple days later it was gone. So it does the job.

you may want to consider increasing water change amount and frequency until it resides, that worked for me, along with reducing photo period and feeding. i should also mention it helps alot to siphon as much as you can out during w/c

Thanks guys. Ya I have decreased the lighting, as well as increased water changes. It does not seem to be getting better, but the decreased light has helped. I will give it till next week, and if it is not improving I will give chemi clean a shot.

This stuff is a pain, makes the aquarium look gross. No good for a rookie!

same problem here. I already have a reduced photo period, and I get the nastiest of it during the water changes. looks like chemiclean for me on payday too *sigh*
