pool water purification

ok so maybe it's not a reefing issue but water purification is sort off close.
Last weekend , like i do every summer I setup one of those 10' bladder pools for the three musketiers AKA kids. Usually throughout the summer I would clean and drain it(water the lawn) every 2 weeks or so and refill with new water thus allowing it to be setup all summer. What a pain, and wow on the work. So the question is, i've got a 200mg/hr ozonator and controller i've desided not to use on my tank, i was thinking hey they use em in the old jacuzzi, why not here on the pool.
Has anyone tried using a ozone to purify the water in one of these things, of course it would have to be monitored and used sparing so the thing/pool doesn't meltor fracture. maybe a cheap diy reactor, as well.
Any ideas, i had thought that if i added clorine to the water i would kill the grass if i watered with it.
it sure would be nice if it worked.

if this would be more affordable i would give it a try.
But they want 800 for home unit.
They go up to 1200 overseas.

you could use ozone but make sure you use it in a reactor and you could also put the return through a bag of carbon, also try using pool salt instead of chlorine, good for the skin, chlorine is so crappy for you....

I can't answer your ozone question but we use chlorine to maintain our 16' above ground. I fill it at the beginning of the season and maintain the chlorine level all summer. I don't have to drain and refill again for the summer. And when it comes time to drain it in the fall, I just let the chlorine dissipate and water the lawn and trees. Hasn't killed anything yet.

Somebody is advertising a salt water pool filter on TV, I think it's Canadian Tire and they show it on a bladder pool for $400 bucks. I thought it looked kind of cool especially since chlorine isn't really that good for you:biggrin: .

I had ozone on my hot tub and you still had to maintain a chlorine level but you didn't have to use as much.
