Help with sharks health
 

Hi ive been looking for some info on sharks health the problem is that there is a friends marbled carpet shark with what looks like large red areas on it's belly but these showed up shortly after the fish was placed inside the aquarium the water parrameters are all good ,does anyone have any info they can share on this or perhaps a link with info..thanks john

I saw this happen in a local Big Al's store. the idiots who set up the shark tank used crushed coral (i avoid shopping there as much as possible). crushed coral is much too abrasive for sharks and the bellies were rubbed raw. one had an infection which sounds similar to what your friend's shark has. what kind of substrate is he using? how long a time is "shortly"?

That's exactly what you should be looking at first.
