All Hail the Local Tank!
Well most of you know about my local tank and have been asking for pictures so heres a few to get you by until I get way more cool stuff.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...oooooooooo.jpg Full tank shot. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...ooooooooo9.jpg Some random shot through some seaweed. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...oooooooooo.jpg One of the few blennies in my tank. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...7/xooooooo.jpg A brittle start that was a hitchhiker off of rocks on the beach. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2.../xoooooooo.jpg This little guy has some wicked colouring eh? http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...xooooooooo.jpg Boring sea urchins. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...att277/xoo.jpg This one is about a foot long. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...tt277/xooo.jpg I really like this picture and it would be even better if the pipe wasn't in the background. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...277/xooooo.jpg There are just so many sculpins that I had to have at least one. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...77/xoooooo.jpg Now this here is a Cabezon and a baby at that! They get to about 25 pounds and 3 feet long. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...oooooooooo.jpg Can you tell this is my most favorite fish in the tank right now? http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...oooooooooo.jpg I have this picture as my desktop currently. I will have more to come soon since there is more to catch and many many more small things hiding away. Matt |
Nice tank!
What are your plans for the Cabezon in the future? |
That's awesome! My dad needs to set up a tank like that, he's in Quallicum Beach and needs a retirement hobby.

Just on a side note. All of these things were caught yesterday at low tide with a dip net in knee deep water. Matt |
What kind of tank is that?
I've never seen those fish before; very interesting! :D |
Cool stuff.
You finding these things off Parksville or are you driving for a bit to collect them? |
so how about some specs on the set up?
Do you run a chiller on it? I see you are using glass, any problems with sweating on the glass? How long have you had this thing set up with the macroalgae in it? |
