gyre-tank and lights for sale :( - calgary
I'm taking down my nano-gyre to make room for a coral growing business I'm starting up with a partner. Real shame, because it was a concept that worked beautifully. The mom says I can't have any more space, so I've decided to take down the nano :(. Damn you school and the required reliance on parents! *shakes fist ruefully lol*
http://www.kwirky88.com/images/aquar...refullshot.jpg coral, rock, and pumps, cleaning magnet, bulkhead and the 120g system behind not for sale ;) I have the following for sale: two 33g tanks. 36x18x12. One's drilled with a 1,3/4" hole, has a 24" long gyre platform for enhanced water flow and the back's painted black. excellent design that works well. no bulkhead included, no pumps. Both tanks in great shape, about 7 months old. $25 each sold Metal stand that holds both of the tanks at once, one of the tanks must be purchased with the stand. $25 sold 150W HQI light with pfo ballast and DIY pendant. Hangs nice and looks very good. White enameled pendant. Geisseman 13k bulb used no more than 2 weeks. Ballast still has warranty on it. $175 OBO 48" coralife two bulb NO T5 light(26Wx2). one 10k one actinic bulb. Used about 3 months. $25 sold The two tanks together sit on the same stand, and would work great as a tank/sump combo. Originally one tank held fish, and the other was used for mixing change water in. I'm willing to sell the two tanks with the MH light and stand for $200 if somone takes them all at once. (not including bulkhead). The shallow depth of the tank and the very high flow design would make this a very affordable system for SPS. I'm in abbeydale, calgary. no delivery, and no holds because no-shows are annoying. Whoever buys it has to keep in touch because I'd like to know how the gyre design works for them. |
Looks like a good system to try on one of your grow out tanks. If the tank is still around at the end of the week i'll PM you

It won't quite fit, the way the rack's designed unfortunately. The rack tanks will be 16" wide, while this one's 12". Plus this system utilizes 30" from the bottom of the tank to the top of the pendant, while each rack tank will only take up about 18" height, including room for the light.
It's funny, because the people who see the gyre tank either love it or hate it. Some think it's great, others don't see the point :) |

Are you sure those are 33g tanks? The dimensions you list work out more like 44-45 gallons. Or did you mean 36" long instead of 48"?
