Clam can climb

Interesting sight. My Derasa clam decides to attach to a Cerith snail during the night. Later the Cerith climbs the glass taking the clam with it on its back. That's one strong snail.

Bizzare!

How is the clam attached? I didn't know it had any grabbing ability with it's mantle?

That certainly is a candidate for a photo contest!

I have had a maxima clam that climbed up the corner of my tank...but I've never seen this :D

From what I saw, it wasn't the mantle but a couple of thin white strands that were attached from the clam to the shell of the snail.

Snail does it again. Clam attaches to snail and then goes for a ride.
