Standpipe and plumbimg questions

I need a standpipe design to use with my 190g. The overflow is not a typical 'box' like most tanks it's just one piece of glass in the corner so it's like a triangle. So I don't have a lot of room to work in. I wanted to use the durso style http://www.dursostandpipes.com/ but I don't think it will fit. What other options do I have?

Thanks

PS the tank has a 1.25 inch drain and return bulkheads. I guess since I'm on the topic of plumbing is it safe to use any PVC cement and teflon tape to put all the plumbing together?

or do a herbies, make it super quiet, but you would have to use your return as the emergency overflow and run your return up the back on the outside?
