Majestic Angel*****UPDATED*****
I finally got a beautiful Majestic Angel! I am hoping heis stillaround tomorrow because my powder blue has been swimming circles around him, bumping into him...and now has the Majestic cowering under the rockwork! The powder blue is smaller, but wont leave the Majestic alone...it even goes and rubs up against it in the rock work...not leaving the Majestics side. I hope they work it out because catching either wil be an adventure unto itself! Ill post a pic if the Majestic ever comes out! I have three tangs and the Hippo and Naso dont seem bothered. I am surprised at how territorial and obsessive the Powder is.

I would suggest that you turn the lights off even it if is not that time yet. Whenever possible, I try to release new fish into the display tank after the lights go off.
BTW, I've got one in my tank too. |
Powder Blue's and Yellow Tangs become very aggressive to new fish (especially when the new fish is bigger) in establshed tanks (tanks that they have been in for a very long time).
|
I will try shut the lights out...the powder blue has mellowed a bit. It actually let the Angel out for half an hour...I am surprised that this angel isnt shy at all to humans...
|
My powder blue is the biggest bully in the tank. The good thing though is that my Majestic is twice its size so the PBT never tried to bully it.
|
My Powder blue is half the sive of the Majestic.....he must have 'inner bigness'! Ha ha!

Hi Mike
Sounds great, you know how I like Majestics. I find that if the established fish does'nt just out right take the head off the new fish then things just cool down within a few days. My yellow tang did the same thing with my Majestic. Now they are the best of friends. I actually feel that they have established an inter species relationship and there is nothing wrong with that or so I have been told. |
Not that theres anything wrong with that! Ha Ha! I have tried to take a pic of the elusive Majestic...a fin shot, a blurr, and 20 other nothings! I think I would have better luck filming Ogopogo! I have freaked him out a bit with the flashes so I will try take a pic tomorrow. Hes being allowed out of the rock work and to swim and graze on the extreme right corner of the tank....thats it...well its better than yesterday!-

Here are a few pics...he is out alot now and hasnt been that shy....until he sees the light of my autofocus! Hopefully I will have better pics soon.
