Small Tank Refugium or Sump

Hi,
I have been changinf my FOWL tank over to 'Reef' type setup.
I have had the tank up since last Aug 4,2006.
MY tank is 30X12X17" with 130W Aqualife flourescent fixture.
1 Bubble coral 1 frogspawn, 1 clown,1 damsel, 1 Firefish, 1 gold sleeper, 3 hermit crabs 3 snails, 25-30lbs live rock, Fluval 304 with just sponge and Carbon Chemi clean. 2.5" susbstrate.
Everything seems OK but am thinking of a small refugium withing the month or so (I go in for vascular surgery Wednesday so will be incapacitiated for awhile) I have a CPR Overflow on hold.
Would a refugium be practical or not (limited space and money)
Jim

Hey Jim

Refugiums are always a good thing. IMO
First Q is.. Where are you?
How big is your stand?
We can help figure things out from there.

I'm in Surrey/Newton BC, my stand is just a store bought for a 30" long tank
