NO to VHO upgrade question
 

I am looking to upgrade my actinic lighting from NO to VHO. I'd rather not tear apart my fixture so...can I just replace my ballast and plug VHO bulbs into my existing caps and wiring or do I need to upgrade the caps, etc?

Are you just using the Tombstones right now or the fancy "waterproof" endcaps?

We setup some VHO on regular tombstones and they work great. As long as you are replacing T12 NO bulbs it should be fine. Now if you are replacing T8 NO bulbs you would need to get new caps.

My bulbs are T12s and I do have basic "Tombstone" caps. There is a plexiglass cover over the NO and MH bulbs. Are you saying I can just replace my NO ballast with a VHO ballast and it should work fine?
