tank drilling

is it expensive to drill a glass aquarium? who do you go to to drill the tank?

Chaloupa 02-15-2007 12:51 AM

depends on where you are located? If you put that in your profile or in the post it will be easier to give you a good answer!

Just drill it yourself....

I have drilled everyone of my own tanks and never had a problem

I just drilled my 65g. Got the drill bit off eBay (seller: lau from THK). It's pretty easy if you follow the instructions on Reef Central.

Good Luck!

Not sure what it would cost you out there but here in the Vancouver area prices are around $25-$30 per hole. I did some glass drilling with the dremel and diamond bit and it worked out alright, there is a diamond cutting disk that works better if you decide to build an external overflow but then you'll still need to drill holes for bulkheads.
