sps fragging question

i'm a newbie when it come to fragging sps. i have some sps on the frag plugs that i want to remove and glue the piece to my rock. my question is how brittle is acros? when i cut the piece at the base where it meets the rock can the acro crumble?

Depends on the system it came from and what type of acro it is...Some acro's you litteraly have to cut with a pair of shears, while others you can basically just tap and they will break.....I would say for you to just grab it by the base as close to the frag plug as possible and just snap it...It shouldn't crumble but you might end up with 2 frags.....hope this answers your question!

I believe that wild sps are usually much harder (denser) than captive raised ones because of the wave action they are subjected to in the ocean.
