This guy hitched a ride on some live rock. What is he and is he reef safe?

It looks like a sponge crab or even a shame faced crab to me..
but i have been wrong before!

Put it in the sump or give it to a mantis owner. Not someone I'd leave in a reef.

We caught one of those crabs last year. Can post a short video of it, if you'd like. Definitely not a crab to have in the tank. Euthanized ours right after his close up.

come drop him off at my house and we can both enjoy my mantis eat him.

Got him out last night. He wasn't looking to good, he came to me on some rock that had been in a rubbermaid with no heat. If he's still alive in the bucket I put him in then he's yours. :)
