Thought I would share a photo I took the other day of my RBTA.
Post up photos of your BTAs!! http://www.reefwerkz.ca/photos/DCP_0001_web.jpg |
Ryan that is a nice little RBTA. I used to have one but it went AWAL after it split. Is that the clone you got from me?

Awesome pics, can you guys share your lighting specs ?
Strangely enough, my gbta has bubbles right now for about the first time since I have had it. Not photo worthy, but I just noticed today. Is there a moon phase or something?? |
2 x 175W Reeflux 12K.
The RBTA is about 4 inches below the surface. |
Mine hangs out about mid-height in the tank.
I have no idea about the moon phases and their effect on my BTA. My current lighting is an AquaMedic HQI fixture with 3x250 10k / 2x150 20k and I run 2x 1watt blue moon lights during all but 2 hours of the regular lights out time, however the BTA has always been bubblely even before I changed my lights a few months ago. Sorry, I don't really know what makes them tick. The RBTA of Ryan's is a clone of one I had that seldom had bubbled tips but it's offspring apparently does in Ryan's tank. For me it's a mystery. |
2 X 400w with 20k XM bulbs.
