Bird's Nest Growth Sequence

Finally after years of trying, I can keep a Bird's Nest alive for more than a month.

Nice pics Sam.
Is the colony starting to turn pink or is that just my eyes fooling me?

Yes, its a pink bird's nest and it did turn more pink recently. Over the summer, I had heat issues that affected all of my tank. It really stunted the growth of my SPS and killed some Acros.

VERY nice! I can't keep it alive either.....and they say it's an "easy" SPS...bah...I don't think so, but it looks like you have it mastered! WOW, it looks great!

Time to frag!

What have you changed to keep it alive? I moved mine again today hoping a new spot would get new results.

I tried about 8-10 frags and colonies over a span of 5 years and was never able to keep them for more than a month before they died. Then I added a UV sterilizer and I think that made the difference.
