I have a kenya tree coral it is about 4" high fully extended we have reciently moved it into a 90 gal tank from our 55 gal . we have had it about 3 months this is the best its ever looked it is full extended but it has droped 2 tips of its arms and is ready to drop a third .And when it drops a arm it is grown over where the arm has droped. it is not near anyting else. all we have is exzena, toad stool leather, and some zoos.as for fish all we have is 2 clowns lol .all of our nitrite, nitrate,Ph,calicum, amonia, alkilinity, salin ity are all good.is this normal ?????

"Dropping" arms is how they self-prune or self-frag. It's totally normal with Kenyan trees.

so should I keep the arms as frags??

frags

you bet keep them as frags. in time you could trade them for something else you want or sell them! enjoy!

My Kenya drops about 5-10 a month. I placed it in a flow area so all droppy's end up in a semi calm corner for collection each month for beg borrow or trade.

Kenya trees are one of the easiest corals to frag. Just leave some coral rubble lying around the base of the Kenya tree and within a short period of time you will have more frags than you can find people who want them.

I've thrown lots of them out cause I had too many and no one wanted them.
