Does anyone have one of these pumps they might want to sell or trade. I got a good deal on an emperor skimmer and it needs one of these pumps. Basically I need 400G at 5' for this unit. I have quite a bit of stuff that I could trade (including a variety of smaller pumps)...or I'd buy it out right. I'm not sure how well this skimmer will work so I don't wan't to buy yet another pump.

I'll have to see if I can find a "head pressure vs. flow rate" for mag drives, but wouldn't a Mag7 or maybe a Mag9 probably be in that ballpark (400gph at 5')? Worst case maybe a Mag12 or a Mag18. If you have one of those kicking around I'd give it a shot (or see if someone has one of those models).

I have a mag18 that you could borrow if you want to just try it out, but I'd need it back (it will be running MY skimmer ... 8) )

Oh yeah I have a mag 12a, it runs my pond in the summer. I could try that. However I'd still buy one if someone has one fro reasonable.
