I've been using the Reg on and off now. And to tell you the truth I have found it cleaner than Kent and seems to be very stable from batch to batch.
At first I though it mixed really dirty but then I cleaned my bucket really well and found it was the Kent that was dirty.
I have found that the CA Alk to be about the same as Kent around 350 CA and 7 Alk. and the MG is higher at about 1240

i used regular in the beginning and went through 2 bags that the calcium precipitated. major PITA. they replaced the bags free of charge but never went back

i've been using IO ever since. although i've heard of people having IO do the same thing. but i've never had a problem with it.

i tested the pro oceanpure yesterday the MG was off the scale (over1500) i'm estimating at 1550 as the salifert test kit max's at 1500.
seems to me that 1240 is low for the reg stuff. holy wide range batman.

Did my first w/c with pro yesterday - definitely liking the levels... Only bad thing - had to do a major adjustment on the skimmer after; Full collection cup within 2 minutes...

Some of the SPS really seemed to like the change though, better P/E out of some of the birdsnest and milli frags I've got.
