cant hang light
 

Just got a used metal haliade light and cant hang it from the roof .dont know the make of it but it dosent look like you can put legs on it . any suggestions?

You could have a stand made for it from which you could suspend the unit.

If your handy with wood you could make a canopy or a frame to hold it.
Something that overhangs a bit so it can't fall in your tank.

post a picture maybe someone knows the brand and can give you further advice

I'm hanging 2 pendant style lights over my tank and I didn't want to hang them from the roof either. I'm putting 2 mounts on my stand that will come up the back and then over the tank. Thats where the lights will hang from. Maybe you can do something like that.

If the tank is close to the wall you could mount a shelf above the tank to hang it from. That way you could use the shelf to store your fish stuff or build a small refugium and put it on it.
