tanks las vegas

Anybody going to Las Vegas has to check out a few impressive tanks.

The front desk tank at the Mirage. The cylinder tanks in the Rain Forest cafe at the MGM, and of course the Shark Reef at Madalay Bay. I would love to float my larvae snagger in those tanks for a few nights. Never made it to the Silverton to see their tank.

We went at the end of November, they were all very nice!

My wife thought the one at the Mirage was beautiful, I asked if I could build one that big in the basement and she said YES. Not that I could ever afford it!

mirage is pretty cool for a fish only tank. Should be brighter in my opinion,. The MGM rainforest cafe LAME!!!!! Fake coral looks just too cheesy to me. and well the shark reef is ok if you pay the 15 bucks to see it. I scuba dive and have touched the tail of a 13 foot hammerhead shark so Shark tanks dont do it for me either. Some of the nicest reef tanks you will find our around these forums./ Vegas rocks though!!

I will be there next week. Thanks for the heads up on where to see some nice tanks  . Is there any good reef stores in Vegas? Maybe I'll do some shopping too.

Hi,

There is also a large aquarium in Caesars Palace. Silverton aqaurium is nice but we would never keep our fish the way they do. Very over crowded so I thought. There is an aqaurium store out by the Walmart on east tropicana ave on the parking lot area. Can't think of the name. Things we pay so little for here in vancouver is 2 or 3 times more down there and stuff expensive here is cheap down there. Go figure.

I was in Florida visiting my sister a while back and I could not believe the prices for both livestock and drygoods. Both were extremely high and many were not overly sophisticated. This was not what I expected, especially when you see the offerings of their Internet suppliers.

We are so lucky to have J&L, OA and Hidden Reef.
