 disease question?

		I have a problem with a 6 line wrasse:
He has, so far only on the last third of its body(near the caudal and into the body), what seems like portruding scales covered by a whitish film......sorta like when a reptile sheds it's skin. It also seems to be slowly spreading. He is still eating and active, the body looks sorta bloated around the infected area. I suspect something bacterial, possibly from an injury from introduction rituals from some blue damsels, but could be wrong... Ideas? What to do for treatment. |

Wrasse produce a coccon when the sleep which is a whitish filmy stuff, maybe that is what it could be? On a side note 6 line wrasses are the hidden devil of fish tanks, i wish i never got one.

Fungal fin/tail rot? I dunno! Hope he(she?) gets better.

Do you feed with zoecon/selcon? That may help. I've also heard that people mix vitamin C tabs in with food. I don't know how successful that is. Its a good sign that he is still moving about and eating though.
