Lighting question

Hi,
My son has this idea of using 175W Mecury Vapor (vapour) bulb for aquarium lighting, is that feasible.

It will work but bulb choice is pretty limited, tough to get anything whiter than 6500k. The iwasaki "EYE" bulbs were a MV technology.
