Where is a good place to buy base rock in calgary? I know you ge get 50lb boxes from J&L (don't know what its like though) is there anywhere in the calgary area?
|
I bought that dry base rock called "reef bones" from MOPS. It has been curing for two months. There are six nice pieces that I will sell. Send me a PM if you want to get some.

umm, why would you cure base rock?
|
According to the directions, it is dry pieces of coral reef, and it needs to be cured. Therefore, I cured it.

I brought in all my rock from Reefer Rocks in FL. It wasn't all that expensive. I believe 'reefgeek' in Edmonton brings in the same stuff to sell.
(best base rock available IMO) |
reefgeek dun goad outta bussiness....:(
|
Reeferrocks will ship via USPS, which works quite well. I think I was able to buy my stuff for around $3.50-3.75 / lbs.
