Turf algea

What is the best way to get rid of turf algea. I have quite a bit of the unwanted green carpeting on my rocks and need to get rid of it before it chokes my corals. I recently added a lawnmower blenny, but am wondering if there is something else I can add.

fingers work good. i found that the only way to really get it was to use my fingers and pick it off. lots of work but once the tank cycles it should clear up on its own.

cheers

yup fingers are the best wat to remove it, but try not to let it float around the tank after you pull it off or it will spread. I have had good results by adding RowaPhos phosphate remover in my sump it helps remove the food for the algae. But keep in mind that this is a natural progresion of a tank and will get better as the tank matures ( assuming that the tank is a farly new setup ) it took a year for my tank to become stable and algae / problem free

Phosban reactor IMHO everyone should have one especially SPS keepers

Sea Hare is doing some serious damage to my algea bloom right now

Make sure you're using good quality water for changes top-off etc

Add some macro to compete for nutrients
