Lighting for a 150 gallon FOWLR

Hey just looking for some input on what to run on my 150 g. fowlr for lights.
Looking to run a 48" 'r , either t5 or pc.
What would be best to go with? Also what wattage should I be after?
F.Y.I ... the tank is 28" 's deep.
Thanks

When we ran our 120g (4'x2'x2') as a soft coral tank, all we had on it were 2x 55w PCs and a 40w actinic. Everything grew amazingly well. In a FOWLR tank, I don't think you need much more than that. Macroalgae will easily grow under that light if you're intending to have some for nutrient export. JMHO, though. We have never had a FOWLR tank.

Lighting is irrelevant in a FOWLR, as fish do not care about and would probably be happier under lower light. Having said that, I have 192 watt VHO lighting on my 65 FOWLR because I like how it looks! Its really all up to you!

IMO, T5's would be best. Coralife makes some very good T5 fixtures which are lightweight and give good colour and light intensity.

high output

I used 2x 48" high output T8 and 2x48" atinics for my FOWLR tank and it worked fine. if you don't plan to grow anything more than softies, it should be fine with PC's and below.
