what would ppl sudgest for keeping my sand bed white?????

In my opinion no matter what organic sand sifter you have, nothing beats a little stir now and then with a thin plastic stick. I think doing small patches here and there will greatly reduce any chance of phospate pockets ect. And you can stir the sand into the areas you want it. I even went so far as to break off every second tooth of a hair pick and used it as a sand rake. This way I know for sure all the sand and not just the top is getting stirred.

Olive snails, conches, sand sifting stars and pistol shrimp will all do a great job of stirring the sand.

ditto. 1 /50gal is great. live forever too. I love serpent stars too for general detritus. get a bunch 1/10gal.
