Help with Jev orange sided Tang
 

There is a large patch of black/grey/white on the one side of this body. It seems to be getting larger. It is slightly raised and grandular. I would think it was ICK but there is no scratching, breathing is normal, eating a lot, even hair algae

any suggestions as to what it is?

You might want to treat him with some kind of broad spectrum antibiotic, that or an antiparasitic/fungicide like Maracyn (saltwater version).

I'd double check on the disease treatment forum at RC first though.

Just a quick update.

After getting him on some better food enriched with speralina and Selcon he has made a full recovery and his colour is great.
