ten gallon cube stocking

hey im just starting up my ten gallon nano and i am just trying to get some ideas on what is safe for this size of tank. first of all i do plan on having differnt soft corals, i saw these arrow crabs at a LFS and i was woundering if they would be a safe choice for my setup. i also will have maybe two fish and a camel shrimp and probably turbo snails. any input would be great!

Te camel shrimp will rip up your corals, the arrow crab might as well but probably won't be too bad if well fed. I would also not go with turbo snails, when they get big they knock too much stuff over. Try astrea snails instead.

thanks for the tip with th snails, i never knew camel shrimp were bad for that, maybe a sexy shrimp or a cleaner shrimp. my main concorn was the arrow crab becuse i cant find any information on them

the arrow crab would probably kill small fish in a tank that size also.

I have a camel in my 10G, the only fish he hasn't hunted down is my little scotter blenny. He is one mean SOB.

okay so what are the safest shrimp for an aquarium this size?

Midknight 08-25-2006 05:45 PM

I was going to go for Sexy shrimp if I can get rid of the Camel.

Hey Buddy, Wanta buy a used Camel? wink wink nudge nudge:wink:

urrrg i really like those arrow crabs but it seems like they will snack on blue claweds and my fishes. so cleaner, sexy and fireshrimp are all coral/fish friendly

and do you guys think this canister filter will be a good choice for a ten gallon nano?

That is the one I want to get. I also have a SCWD laying around that I was going to try and attach to it.
