More Chaeto - Calgary

Ok, Frag tank is full of chaeto, FOWLR is now full of chaeto...

5$ / ziplock - or trade for a frag of pretty much anything (Beyond GSP).

PM if you want some,

For those out of towners - yes will ship, do believe every other time I've said 20$ to your door (xpresspost) in western canada.

Whats the minimum amout of light this stuff needs to grow. I'm thinking about trying it in my sump, but I can only provide minimal lighting.

I could trade that prostrata frag for a bunch if you still want it?

Danny,

It does not need a ton of light. I have a 65 watt flood light and reflector from Home Depot on it and it grows great. The one thing that really helped it start to grow in my tank was when I added some Iron to the water FYI.

So I guess a little 15 watt NO light won't do it.

Well, there's much discussion on this fact, 5000k grows it better than 10,000k. I've had it growing quite well under a 13w PC (in a 2.5g tank).

I was growing mine in an aquaclear 300 (200? not the big big model, the biggest one with the small impeller though, whatever that is.. about 6" wide for the media compartment), with 2x9W PC over top of it, and I could not keep up with the pruning, it grew so fast.

So a 15W NO might do the trick, it just depends on how high up the light is. My guess is it would keep it alive, but not grow as fast as it could as compared to brighter lighting.

Perfect, maybe I will give it a shot. Not much to loose anyway.
