Not javascript again!

My machine is really slow this evening. I thought I was hacked or contracted a virus. However, whenever I leave Canreef, my machine is fine again. Therefore, I'm suspecting that the speed problem is related to the Javascript program running on Canreef that is displaying the names of people going to the reef meeting.

Celeron 300A, 352Mb RAM, GEForce 2 MX400 card.
Its ancient but plays Warcraft III in high res quite well.
