I think RS series means re-circulating, probably creates more bubbles. Check out the difference between the CS and RS and their website, I believe they require different plumbing connections. Good luck deciding!

If I recall, its just a different acrylic used in the construction?

Tbone
RS series are assmbeled from solid cast acrylic tube & sheet material which is glued together
CS series are assembeled from solid cast acrylic tube & PVC sheet material which is hot air welded together
Other than that ,they are same great design , same pump & performance.
CS models are being discontinued & will be replaced with the RS line
Also there is a RC line that is the recirculating design.
The new RS series will be widely available @ the stores with great pricing very soon ,I hope this helps, any questions do not hesitate to drop me a pm
Thanx

No Problems Tbone
Our shipment of the RS series will be here next week & they will be @ the stores a few days after that ,I am not sure where you usually buy your supplies ,however you can always ask your favorite store to special order one from us for you.
If you need to find a store close to you that carries Euro-Reef ,you can always drop me a PM
