Dolomite Lime
 

If I use Dolomite Lime to make a Deep Sand Bed, will this increase my Magnesium or Calcium levels to an unacceptable level? Are there any bad side effects?

Hi,

Well, Calcium carbonate and Magnesium Carbonate do not dissolve in normal salt water levels very easily (pH is high).

It is the same story for crush coral and any other calcium based substrates. The dissolution of calcium in crush coral is very slow. The dissolution is so slow that it can almost be consider insoluable.

Hi,

As you know, I hvae a bad case of the flu/cough right now. So...it is probably not a good idea to visit until I am better (i.e. you might get sick and blame it on me). Give me a call and we can arrange a time.

What does it look like ? It looks and feels like mud -- but it is white.
