Mag Intake

I am currently running a mag 5 on my Remora Pro with the surface prefilter. I have found the prefilter to be bulky and it takes up alot of room, so i want to remove it. Now my problem is the intake on the mag would be open to suck in anything that swims by. Is there anything i can do to build a strainer, or some sort of cover for it?

I have a Mag 3 intake strainer/foam insert. Assuming it fits a Mag 5, you can have it if you'd like, just pay for the postage and its all yours.
