Ozonizer Recommendations Please
Researching ozonizers now, best unit I have found for price/output is the Aquamedic 300, it does 300mg/hr and is $300US. I could get away with 200mg/hr but I like to buy for upgradability.
Any other units out there I should be looking at that are at least 300mg/hr? |
I believe anything in the 300 mg/hr or up will be hard to find. I suggest Ozotech.
What is your water volume? |
My water volume right now is 350gallons. So 200mg/hr will do, but not when I upgrade or add more tanks to the existing sump.
The one I found that I mentioned above was http://www.saltycritter.com/ozonizers.htm |
Did you want one with a built in ORP controller or did you plan on buying a controller seperately (or at all?). You can get those Enaly ones on Ebay for $50 (200mg/hr) but you'd need a controller of some sort.
|
I plan on getting the Milwaukee combo ORP/Ph controller if the unit doesn't have built in ORP control, because I want a Ph controller for my calcium reactor anyways.
My goal is to add more gadgets to my reef :) But seriously, I have read good things about ozone and water clarity for a long time, and want to try it myself. |
I am running about 40mg on 250G of water and it does the trick just fine. A little ozone goes a long way. I like the Red-Sea units as they are adjustable.

enaly
I have an enaly and i like it so far. no problems at all and makes lots of ozone. But make sure you have air dryer attachment or else it is not very efficient.
|
How many mg/hr is your unit? How much total water volume is your system?
