What I Caught on my B'day
We knew there was a crab in our 37g for some time. Last night, we spotted it again. Previous attempts to catch it were fruitless, but not last night
We removed the light fixture, glass top, and removed the rock it was in from the tank. It plopped out onto a plate after some prodding. Short video of our catch .... http://www.lostmymarblz.com/v-37g-crab-apr-08-06.wmv (320 x 240 pixels, 3.5 MB, :49 minutes) |
You got crabs on your birthday!

Good choice of music to make a nasty looking crab look downright sinister. :twised: :twised:

nice catch
Glad you got that one sooner than later - i pulled one out that was the size of two loonies put together side by side ..... scary little things. makes me wonder how much bigger can they get.

Chin,
I have never found the red eyed crabs in my tank much bigger than the one in the video. I can't imagine finding one as large as the one you describe  I got it out just in time for my ocellaris pair to their lay eggs yesterday  While filming that tank yesterday, I caught a glimpse of the claw of another crab in some mushrooms growing near the GBTA. Don't know if it lives in the mushroom rock, but may try to take the rock out later today. From the claw, it doesn't look like the same species of crab ....but you never know  |
Bev,
Haha Love the music! perfect choice for the occasion! Awesome little video too! Well done. Happy Belated Birthday! Lee |
