It's slowly being filled with RO/DI. Still gotta do all the plumbing. Ughh sooo much work ahead! :) |
Moved to Pictures forum. It will get more views in here
Great looking tank, is it starphire?? |
Thanks, naw just regular 5/8" glass, and 3/4" on the bottom :) The costs are starting to mount up on this thing as it is :( I never really asked, but what's the price difference to get Starphire anyway?
|
Awesome size :)
Are you planning on using bio-balls in the sump?? Mike |
Dang, that's gunna be one nice setup
|
Thanks!
I might start off with bioballs as I save up for the LR. Then take the bioballs out and just run a filter sock, LR, remote DSB (tank is BB), skimmer and return pumps in the sump. Currently only have 150lbs of reef bones as the base. |
location
hey just curious whereabouts are you located?
|
Updated my profile for you there Chin Lee :)
I recently moved to Calgary from Winnipeg about 6 months ago. Looking forward to possibly meeting fellow Calgarian Reefers and buy/sell/trade frags and getting in on group buys:) |
Welcome aboard .. you'll meet lots of Calgary reefers here. Also, you'll get in lots of group orders.. too bad, as you just missed out on one
But, there will be plenty more in good time. Again, can't wait to see the progress of this bad boy |
nice start
, i don't want to freak you out, and it may have been a flook to start with but i had a buddy with the same style stand which collapsed sideways after some accidental persuation (of course). you may want to put some cross or diagonal brasing in even wedges in the corners of the brase uprights before you fill it after all better safe than sorry and you will have over 2300lbs on that thing. if marrfy see's it, you know it will undoubtadly come down right after the system is perfectly completeed. please don't hate me, i just love the fish's. |
