Asmodeus's 12 gal JBJ DX

Well I took the plunge and soon to be getting my Nano 12 gal JBJ DX Model.
Going to run a Aqua clear 30 for a HOB refugium and have the heaterin there too along with some macro algae.
The Lighting will be 48 W of 2x 24 w PC. I hve been reading on the No sandbed. and i think that i will go with the sand bed ma ye 2" of sand for the gobies to burrow in.

Another topic Tammy my betterhalf wants to have sea horses in the tank. Can i still with corals in there. But i know you can;t have to much flow tho can you have gobies , clowns .cleaners, or blood shrimp in a tank with Sea horses..

What are people running for flow in a 12 gal nano anyways.

Stay tuned for pic's when i get it....

A 12g is too small for most SH species. I'd pass on them and just do corals, etc.

Skimmerking 03-02-2006 03:12 PM

Well that is what i thought about too Bev the Sea horse thing you can't have very much flow in the tank Right.

So I'm not going to do it ...

Beverly 03-02-2006 03:17 PM

Yeah, SHs need pretty low flow.

For shrimp I will go with 2 of them
BLood shrimp

sexy shrimp i will do 4 of them
http://a1272.g.akamai.net/7/1272/112...e/lg_90056.jpg

once the tank is sorted out and going good i will be housing SPS
Milli, Acros,

With that the tank will have a HOb Refugium made out of a Aquaclear30 or a 500.

But this is over time and i will be using my own water from the 170 gal and rock from there too ,

I like your fish choices... I think any of them would be pretty cool. I really like the neon gobies myself. The two spot gobies are very cool, very unique looking.. but their diet seems a little too "iffy" to me.... but hey, it's YOUR tank!

Looking forward to seeing this progress
