I have an old eheim pump, the outlet is female threaded, but it is smaller than 1/2", I am guessing it must be a 3/8".

Anyone know where in Edmonton I can find a male 3/8" threaded PVC? Or somewhere I can mail order it from? I have a checked hardware stores and some LFS so far, no luck yet.

You say it is an older Eheim pump so there might be an outside chance that the fitting is european and therefore metric.

Could be! I will bring the pump with me when I go shopping around again.
