no hydrometer

my girlfriend broke my hydrometer so i need to know how many cups of salt do i need to put in 5 gal of water. I orderd a new one but it will take a while to get here and my tank is half empty

1/2 cup per gallon I belive.

2 cups per 5 gallons is probably your best bet and depending one your salt you should get a gravity of around .024, .025 area.

Your best bet though would be to go out at buy a cheap hydrometer from the store for 15 bucks.

Borrow one from a friend??? Or neighbour? OR anyone from hinton on this board? Or ask to borrow one from the store. Or buy one and return it a day later

Or Buy a refractometer and have a spare hydrometer on hand just in case. I still never own a hydrometer ever again.
