Hmmmm...

Let me just say, what I had imagined, wasn't so bad. It was what I didn't imagine that was harsh.

I'll never take a sleepeye or whatever those stupid flights are called again. I threw my luggage in a grey car after talking to the rental agency - they said they were sending a GREY car.

Grampa Farmer did say he would drive me anywhere if I would pay....after his grandson walked up...

My only regret is missing the closeout sale at the one and only petshop I saw. I can't imagine how my dogs could have scored from that...

They built this HUGE liquor store in North Battleford - damn, why didn't I get a PIC of that ? Anyway, it looked like a cathedral....but no beer coolers. All warm beers. Can you imagine ? :D

I might have the odd landfill story....

Like the woman who arrived there with a list to build a garage, and wanted the scrap lumber cut to fit...

Or the neat birdhouses a guy there makes from the scrap lumber (that wasn't given to the garage builders...)

ah...yeah..I guess all cool, albeit in a different way

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Darren, this is the land of the First Nations....they throw away the houses the white man builds...then they build more beautiful structures from the landfill.......

:D

Isn't there significant irony in someone from Alberta making fun of Saskatchewan? It's like someone in Moose Jaw making fun of the size of mosquitoes in Winnepeg. I mean if they are both capable of carrying off small children and pets what difference does it make?

It only follows - the father "left" you go on the map, the greater the sense of self-importance. This is how B.C. becomes superior to us all.

:D

AJ - lol

You're absolutely right Troy, separation should begin at the BC border !!

My husband, who grew up in Terrace, couldn't agree more.... :D

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yeah except someone allowed some inferior politicians to run our economy into the ground and we're a little overcrowded. People east of BC don't actually think that BCians feel superior do they? It's not like we're from Toronto . Just about everyone in BC is originally from the pairies. Maybe we think we're a little wiser for getting away from wind and the winter but certainly not superior :D . (BTW it's raining but my 80 pound lab doesn't have to be tied down so the mosquitoes don't fly off with her)

Truth be told, I love the prairies, I was born in Saskatoon. Half my family live in Saskatchewan and Alberta. If I could find work out there I'd move to a small town in Saskatchewan and watch the clouds in the Summer and play hockey outside in the Winter (maybe I should just put Lisa to work, early retirement suits me). Of course I also love all the different regions in B.C., Wyoming, Montanna and the Dakotas are beautiful and there are some places in the foot hills west of Calgary that are pretty nice too. There is even beauty in the badlands. I'm a bit of a whore I guess.
