Very cool and unique fish selection. Do you have a full tank shot?

demon666 01-13-2006 03:21 PM

my wife really likes the cow fish. too bad they can get so ugly when they get bigger. now only if they would stay that small forever:biggrin:

What sized tank is this? What are the names of the first and fourth fish? Have never seen them before.

Great pics

thier is actually 5 tanks and the cowfish is another members(stinky) i just took the picture with my new camera.

1 tank is the 5th picture but its just after the lights turned on so everything is kinda shrunk up.
the 2nd tank is a 130g with a big black grouper(1st pic),a leaflip grouper(4th pic) a yellow tang,domino damsil,foxface and a snowflake eel,
3rd tank is a 67g and has a very large white spotted hermit crab(bigger tan a baseball)and 6 blue/green cromis,
4th tank is actually a 67g qt tank but has a 4 striped damsil and a figure 8 puffer i addopted from a friend who had them in with 2 big triggers, and a fingerprint toby i had to buy for half price at bigals
5th tank is a 20g that i grow out bangaii cardinal fry in one side has 2 6 month olds and the other side hase some 1 month olds.
i just build and set up a 12" cube 7g for the 1 mnt olds while im on holidays in the dominican, they will be at stinkys since they need to be fed 3-5 times a day with like brine.

I am in love with that last grouper. How big are the two groupers? They're gorgeous  Great pics too!

Man your house sounds like mine with the fish tanks, except only one of mine is salt. I don't think I could handle the stress of 5 SW tanks, I have enough with one

i have crabs 01-13-2006 04:39 PM

the black grouper im not shure what kind he is,is about 9 " and eats every thing you throw at him ,the leaflip/clown grouper is about 7" and i have to hand fed him or the black one steals it every time.
thier is only 1 tank with corals (wil be 2 with the nano soon) wich i have to keep up on additives and matinence stuff the others are just using aquaclear 500's and hob skimmers so its not that bad,
as far as waterchanges go i have so much rock in the 60g coral tank i only do them every 4-6 weeks unless i have to sooner for nitrates and i usally only do it them just for the heck of it ,the qt ,crab tank and baby tank never need it either cause thier is barley anything in them execpt rock.
the 130 with the groupers i do 20-25g every 2-3 weeks but i just added 100lbs of carib sea reef rocks and reef bones on top of the 60 lbs of live rock i had so hopefully it will cut down on changes too.
even with all that i still go through close to a bucket of salt every 6 weeks or so.
i only tell the wife about every 3rd bucket so it keeps her from bein mad about the money issue.
