My first frag!
I finally got to put my x-mas present to use!
35,000 RPM :P http://images.canadiantire.ca/media/...0_CC_4dab5.jpg The Victim My green tipped hammer. http://members.shaw.ca/kabong/hammer.jpg Surgery results http://members.shaw.ca/kabong/frag.jpg After recovery http://members.shaw.ca/kabong/recover.jpg Well after getting over my initial nervousness, I must say it was pretty easy. Took less then a minute and besides the coral sliming up from being out of the water it showed no ill effects. |

So did you use a saw type blade disc or how fast did you have the rpm going?
|
I used a reinforced cut off wheel on max speed (35,000 RPM)
http://www.dremel.com/html/images/pr.../large/426.gif All it needed was a slight bit of pressure, and it sliced through with no problems. From what i hear a lot of guys use the diamond edged wheel, http://www.dremel.com/html/images/pr.../large/545.gif but its circumference is smaller then the one i used. I whould have had to cut all the way around the branch and try to meet in the middle. With the blade i used i was able to cut all the way through from one side. |
