chemi pure

hey, i have had some chemi pure for about 3 years. brand new, fully sealed. i opened it last night, thought i would try it out and i noticed that it was moist towards the bottom. is that normal, or should i forget about using it. just curious. thanks

Invigor 12-17-2005 06:36 PM

that's normal. new ones are soggy too.

thanks invigor, good to know.. now that its open how long can i leave it before using it??

Yes that is true. I don't know if you have to use it right away. As far as I can see you can wait, but that is opinion. I think they have a website where you might post that question.

I have used the stuff twice and it was about 9 months apart and out of the same bottle. Be very careful to do the recommended water changes as some of your corals might bleach or even die if left even until the next day.

I think your thinking of Chemi-Clean Greg.
Chemi-Pure you "don't have to change" for 6 months.

From the container again. "Replacement varies depending on type of aquarium Chemi Pure is used in; 1 - 6 months"

I would like to know how you determine yours is used up in three weeks.
