Lifegard Quiet One
its Specifications are:
- 3/4" FPT Input and 3/4" MPT Output
- 1040GPH Flow Rate @ 0 Head Pressure
- 600GPH Flow Rate @ 6' Head Pressure
which I think would be good for my 50gal but I have not heard anything about them.

Hello Stircrazy,

I have a Quiet One used once and now only sitting in the cabinet. Therefore I can't say much but for the 5 minutes it was running, it was very quiet and vibration free. The reason I only used it for 5 minutes was to test how well it drives Beckett skimmers and it failed. The amount of bubbles it produced was pathetic. So it's not a good pump for that. If you only use it for return, then it's a good cheap pump.

Hello Steve,

I thought one day I can use it as a return pump, or something else. But ya, it has been sitting around for quite a while. Maybe it's time to sell it. Let me know if you want it, send me a PM or e-mail.

Steve,

It's a great little pump and super quiet. I don't think there is a quieter pump with the same output and price. But don't expect it to last more than a couple of years in a reef tank and it will drive up the water temp.
