any cheap moonlights that ppl have kicking around?

either ebay. I had a post about the ones I bought which was cheap. Or I've heard people using the new LED rope light that canadin tire has right now (9 foot I think) for like 15.00 canadian.. I''ve seen pics and they look pretty good :)

grab some cheap small led xmas lights.... should work good.

Can the rope lights be cut? I was wondering what you do with the extra? I only need 36" or less

I would think they could be cut at the opposite end but would need to be cappped since otherwise the wire would be exposed.. Never tryed myself though.

Rope lights can't be cut - would negatively effect the arrays enclosed within. But you could loop the excess around.

Alternatively, an old cellphone charger, a resistor (or two) and a few 2$ led's from active electronics (or similar) and you'd have a decent setup.
