Redbugs? Do you have them?
 

To anyone who recently purchased SPS from a person who lived outside of Edmonton, and was shutting down a large system.

I received corals from this person and they arrived with redbugs! Most of my corals have RTNed, but I wanted to let anyone else who'd purchased from this person know. Check your tanks. This particular strain appeared to be more of a cinnimon-orange color, and only attacked sps in my tank with few polyps.

Hey Catherine are you sure they came from that person? I loaded my tank with corals from her and I have been watching my tank, I see no bugs ( it does have me a little worried though ) Could they have come from else where? Sorry to here about your tank :cry:

I haven't gotten anything from anyone else. The only coral infected was that particular coral that came from her.

Looking closely at my pieces, I can confirm what you are seeing. Though the outbreak isn't horrendous, they are there.

Its time to talk to your vet again I guess :frown:

I am yet to find any bugs people....I dont even know what I am looking for.Small red things that look like paprika on the coral..hmmmm.... I may get you guys to look at my tank when you come for the meet.Cause I honestly never seen them before and I am sure if I noticed something I wouldve freeked out already.Are they that hard to spot?
