This goes to show just because you trash talk doesn't mean you're a better team. I'm glad the eskimos took the high road and stayed out of the trash talk. The stupidest quote I have heard a professional athelete say in a long time"I'm the T.O of the CFL" Nik lewis. Ha ha Calgary

looks like calgary got's to go back to counting how many players on field at once

nice to see esks win

CFL, what a joke, fumble after fumble after fumble, forgot interception, interception, give me the NFL any day

Edmonton Eskimo 11-14-2005 03:06 AM

Booooooooo to the nfl. Guys don't fumble the ball in the nfl? I think the cfl is a more exciting game. In the nfl if a team was down at halftime like the esks were the game would be over.

I prefer the NFL too, but in the CFL's defense football is football when it comes to turnovers. The Giants turned the ball over 5 times! Eli Manning threw 4 interceptions. Giants D held the Vikes to 137 yds total offense and they still lost!

Oh they fumble in the NFL, just not 10 times a game, it's the best league by far, there no comparison at all to the CFL, the teams that are suppose to win, most of the time win. , not like today where Calgary the far better team lost due to numerous mistakes - you wouldn't see a team in the NFL in a playoff game fumble & throw interceptions as many times as Calgary did today. At least now I won't be forced to watch the Grey Cup , I'll watch NFL.

um, how do you figure Calgary is a far better team? lets see Calgary lost both there games with Vancouver edmonton won 2 out of 3 against vancouver.. as for mistakes, didn't see any Edmonton turnovers, but yet Calgary had 5 I believe, I didn't see Edmonton taking stupid penalties like "to many men on the field" and I think if they would have used Moss in the last 3 games instead of staying with whats his name Edmonton would have been number 1 overall instead of 3rd because of a tie break for second.

at any rate I have seen underdogs in the NFL who " have no hope of winning" kick the but off the number 1 team in the division a few times so what do you mean it doesn't happen in the NFL. the CFL is a inharently harder game then the NFL, only difference is the pool of people to draw talent from and the money available to pay them. I have seen lots of good NFL players come to the CFL and not produce not because they are bad but because the Canadian game is a harder game.

All I can say it was a good game. Calgary came out strong and then Edmonton came up with the finish. It wasn't a blowout like most NFL games, it kept you in your seat till the end. Calgary just blew the second half ...with 5 interceptions and lots of 4th quarter penalties......the rest is history.
